visto che ho una fender stratocaster, e non posso permettermi un amplificatore, ho provato a farmene regalare uno direttamente da marshall. e per l'ennesima volta è confermata la regola della grande multinazionale di successo: hanno le tasche saldate con piastre di titanio! mai che scucissero un solo regalo extra, son proprio finiti i tempi in cui gli esseri umani provavano un qualche genere di sentimento nei confronti di altri esseri umani. qui siamo davanti a segretarie, uffici stampa, stanze ovali, fatte di caldissimo acciaio inossidabile. complimenti anche alla marshall, cade un'altro mito.
ma almeno loro m'han risposto...

object: new wallpapers for marshall’s website

first of all, jim marshall and his enterprise deserves all my esteem, for the amazing products that brings to my family from two generations.

surfing in your website's "extras" section, i have found that it is less complete compared with the rest of your website, that is always full of useful contents.

my idea was to create for you some wallpapers, so every web-surfer can be satisfied when asking for a "souvenir" from your virtual-southall garage.

i'm an italian boy, aged 22, that studies engineering in rome (nearly graduated!). i have worked for many years in arts, graphics and advertising, and i think that is essential take care of every potential customer, aim that your enterprise achieves perfectly (also with some aid given by the mith that flutters around the associations "music-guitar-marshall amplifiers"!).

my little "made in italy advertising campaign" is composed by 21 desktop wallpapers, and includes parts of your website (that i have downloaded and composed) and some original photos and graphics, achieved by me for the occasion.

considering that i work as a professional, and within six months i will also be an engineer, i suggest an exchange:

my wallpapers (valued €20 each one = €420),

to exchange with one marshall mg50dfx (€330.58) / mg30dfx (€184.52) amplifier,

or with a kit of marshall effects pedals
(€59.75 * 5 = €298.75 or €59.75 * 4 + €65.05 = €304.05) - (in order, i need "supervibe", "edward the compressor", "bluesbreaker II", "guv'nor", "vibratrem" and "the jackhammer"...!).

or an mg30dfx + 2/3 effects pedals (€184.52 + €65.05 + €59.75 = €309.32 )

my request moves from these considerations:

- i believe that my suggestion can be interesting for you; consider that the first website-engineering rule is: "what i can download for free from this website?". visitors desperately look for sections named "download" or "free-stuff": so a lot of clicks go, on your website, on the "extras" icon!

- i can't found an authorized dealer in the place where i live, so i'm not able to get marshall's products that i like

- i own a fender stratocaster, and i can't imagine it with a non-marshall amplifier

- moreover a lot of web-surfers look for wallpapers: also i have downloaded the two avalaible files, but... what a disappointment!

- at last, i have created some professional advertising and web-contents for you, suggesting a profitable exchange, so you can substitute the wallpapers that are actually on-line: they are ugly!

i'm waiting for an answer, also negative: but absolutely answer me, i can't tolerate that the same jim marshall i know snobs his customers. so... an email does not cost anything!

i have to thank you for this answer, it cheers me up.

i have simply tried to obtain something that i will never succeed to buy, with the resources i have.

here in rome life is hard, and it's difficult to make the ends meet.
but i keep on trying to find a bit of happiness, i'm thick skinned.

for example playing music with my friends makes me happy. so, i have worked with this hope.

but if you really like my wallpapers, i authorize you (marshall amplification plc) in using any of them within your web site. in any case, now i have nothing to do with them.

handle my wallpapers like a gift from italy, like any other file that any other user sends you for marshall's web-site. i want no remunerations. to avoid any misunderstanding, i can subscribe this declaration and send it via ordinary mail.

the cd i have sent is yours, i'll give it to you as a lucky mascot, like a latin "memento".
